Press Release – Air Force Uses ProPricer as Source Selection
San Diego, CA – October 25, 2000 – Executive Business Services, Inc. today announced that their proposal pricing software, ProPricer, was used by the U.S. Air Force during a recent source selection effort. The procurement was for a $1.5 billion, 15 year contract to consolidate 40 command and control systems that are used by the North American Aerospace Defense Command and the U.S. Space Command.
During the source selection process, Lockheed Martin Mission Systems sent their pricing data electronically to the Air Force source selection team, who in turn used ProPricer to run in-depth analyses, what-if scenarios, custom reports, and audits. “Everything I asked ProPricer to do, it did.” said Capt. Joe Pastorello of the source selection team, “It has also helped us eliminate thousands of pages of paper work and saved countless man hours.” The Air Force awarded the contract to Lockheed Martin on September 20th.
The Lockheed Martin team was enthusiastic about their win and praised the support staff at EBS. “The EBS support team never let us down.” said Charles England.
As a result of the successful use of ProPricer, the Air Force will continue to assess ProPricer’s capabilities in their search for a “Best Practice” solution for source selection.
